Project Overview
The project involved the installation of five sectional Air Handling Units (AHUs) consisting of a total of 30 double-stacked sections. These units needed to be maneuvered across a rooftop and lifted into position safely and efficiently.
Challenge
The AHU sections were large, heavy, and had to be transported across a roof structure with limited access and load-bearing considerations.
Solution
To overcome these challenges, LGH supplied the following equipment:
- Heavy-duty skates: Enabled smooth and controlled movement of each AHU section across the rooftop surface.
- Aluminium gantry system: Included both standard and high-leg uprights, as well as 3m and 4.5m top beams, offering flexibility in lifting height and span.
- Round Slings
Outcome
All 30 AHU sections were skated and lifted into position efficiently, with no incidents or delays. LGH’s equipment provided a safe, efficient, and flexible method for installing multiple AHU sections under tight operational constraints.
