Two newly upgraded heavy‑duty cranes in Weser were nearing their final milestone: a full‑scale load test to confirm they were ready for operational deployment. To execute the lift safely at this scale, the client turned to LGH for both expertise and equipment, specifically the MOD 1000t Modular Spreader Beam, engineered for extreme loads and complex lift configurations.
Challenge
The client needed to simulate real‑world lifting conditions at a scale few pieces of equipment can handle. The test required a combined load of 1,125 tonnes, the equivalent of lifting more than three Boeing 747 aircraft. The cranes had to be pushed to their limits safely, accurately, and with equipment capable of distributing immense forces without compromise.

Outcome
With the Modulift MOD 1000t Modular Spreader Beam in place, both cranes completed their heavy‑load trials successfully, demonstrating full capability and readiness for deployment. The test validated structural performance, load stability, and operational reliability under extreme conditions. The cranes are now certified, commissioned, and ready for the real work ahead.
