At SNCF Réseau station in the Rhône‑Alpes region in France, a pedestrian walkway needed to be removed using eight lifting points. Working beside a live railway meant strict time windows, limited access, and a lift that had to be controlled from the first movement to the final lowering.
The challenge
The walkway’s eight pick points required exact load distribution to avoid twisting or uneven loading. With the line remaining operational, the lift had to be predictable, stable, and free from any sudden movement. Space on site was tight, and the structure had to be lifted and removed cleanly without the option for mid‑air adjustments.
The solution
To maintain full control across all eight lifting points, we supplied:
- 50 t - 12 m Multi-Lugs
- 4 × MOD24 Modular Spreader Beams
The outcome
The walkway was removed smoothly, with no unexpected rotation, no last‑minute corrections, and no disruption to railway operations. Every lifting point stayed balanced, and the structure behaved exactly as planned.
