LGH strengthens its UK sales team with the appointment of Robert Henry as Business Development Manager. Tasked with driving new business in the South, Robert will also contribute his expertise to the wider sales team.

We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Robert for a Q&A session. Here is a glimpse of what we discussed:


WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO JOIN LGH AND TAKE UP THE BDM ROLE?

I joined LGH for its industry leadership in lifting equipment hire. My passion for customer relationships and business growth makes the BDM role a great fit. With 10+ years of hire experience, I'm ready to contribute to LGH's success.

WHAT ARE YOUR CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR?

In my career, I've achieved key milestones, including driving sales growth, exceeding targets, launching successful products, and expanding market share. As a BDM, I excel at understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that foster long-term loyalty.

WHAT INDUSTRIES HAVE YOU WORKED IN?

I've worked across Powered Access, Plant and Tool, and HVAC in the hire industry, gaining a broad understanding of diverse industry needs. This experience has sharpened my ability to adapt and deliver reliable equipment and service, adding value to various projects.

WHAT EXPERIENCE ARE YOU BRINGING TO THE ROLE?

With extensive experience in administration, sales, and business development in the hire industry, I excel in customer relationships, strategic planning, and operations. Strong negotiation and communication skills drive my success.

WHAT ARE YOUR SHORT-TERM PLANS IN YOUR NEW ROLE?

In the short term, I aim to immerse myself in LGH’s operations, gaining deep insight into our customers, products, and services. My focus will be on strengthening customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating with my team to enhance our market position.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST?
